Editorial Office
The Editorial Office is responsible for the journal’s daily operations, including editorial coordination, production, and language editing. The team supports the editorial leadership and ensures the smooth and professional publication of each issue.
Managing Editor: Ms. Yitong Wang
Oversees the editorial workflow and coordinates communication among authors, reviewers, and the editorial board.
English Editor: Ms. Rowena Saplala
Responsible for English language editing and ensuring the linguistic clarity and academic tone of all manuscripts.
Layout Editor: Mr. Xiangkui Ding
Responsible for formatting and layout design, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to publishing standards.
An Invitation to Join the Review Board of ACS
Getting involved in the peer review process can be a highly rewarding experience that can also improve your own research and help to further your career. ACS invites applications from eligible scholars and researchers to join the Editorial Review Board. At KIHSS we believe that peer review is the foundation for safeguarding the quality and integrity of scientific and scholarly research. We want to do everything we can to support reviewers and to recognize their contribution. This is why we’ve created these guidelines.
Eligibility
Qualification: The applicant holds a doctoral degree, or at least a university lecturer position, AND has published at least three academic papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Area of expertise: The applicant has good knowledge and research experience in subject areas related to the journal’s
scope.
Language: The applicant has a strong command of the English or Chinese or Korean language with verbal and written fluency.
*Reviewers may be requested to review manuscripts up to five times a year.
*Reviewers need to return their reviews within 15 days.
*Reviewers need to provide complete and detailed comments on submitted papers.
*Reviewers must not distribute any manuscripts reviewed or disclose information from the reviewed manuscripts.
*Reviewers will be removed from the Editorial Review Board after two refusals to review, two failures to review, or three late reviews. If any unforeseen circumstances occur which prevent reviewers from reviewing manuscripts or reviewing manuscripts timely, the reviewers should consult with the assigned Editor-in-Chief as early as possible to avoid any possible removal.
*Reviewers should serve a two-year term and may be re-appointed for another term. Reviewers may resign at any time before the two-year term is completed.
Rewards
*After reviewing two papers, a reviewer will receive a Certificate of Editorial Review Board Membership for acknowledging his/her contributions to the journal.
*After reviewing five papers in a year with high quality reviews, a reviewer will receive a Certificate of Excellent Reviewer.
*Reviewers who provide timely, thorough peer-review reports receive vouchers entitling them to a discount on the APC of their next publication in any KIHSS journal, in appreciation of the work done.
*Reviewers who provide excellent reviews consistently for two years will be considered for invitation to the Editorial Board.
*If appointed as a reviewer, the reviewer’s name will appear at the journal website in the Editorial Review Board.
