Article Processing Charge and Waiver Policy

Article Processing Charge (APC)

Submissions to the Journal of Arts and Cultural Studies (ACS) are free of charge. However, following acceptance, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 300 per article is required to support the journal’s sustainable development. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication; no fees are charged at the time of submission.

In certain cases, full or partial waivers of the APC may be granted at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief, particularly in cases of financial hardship or other exceptional academic circumstances.

Waiver Policy

As an open access journal, the Journal of Arts and Cultural Studies does not charge subscription fees and is freely accessible online. Readers worldwide can immediately view, download, print, and share all published articles without financial barriers, promoting wider dissemination of research.

The journal does not receive funding from any institution or government. To maintain its operations and uphold the quality of publication, the journal relies on Article Processing Charges (APC) paid by authors after acceptance. In support of academic sustainability and equity, all journals under KIHSS automatically provide full or partial APC waivers based on the affiliation of the corresponding author, particularly benefiting researchers from low- and middle-income countries. No separate application is required; the waiver is applied at the time of submission.

*Waivers or discounts to reduce article publishing charges for open access articles are available to:
