Article 1 (Name)
This committee shall be called the Editorial Committee under the International Convergence Management Association (hereinafter “this Committee”).
Article 2 (Purpose)
The purpose of this Committee is to oversee all matters related to the publication of the Association’s journals and proceedings.
Article 3 (Functions)
The functions of this Committee are as follows:
To review and decide on the acceptance of manuscripts submitted for publication in the Association’s journals.
To review and decide on the acceptance of papers to be presented at the Association’s research conferences.
Article 4 (Composition)
This Committee shall consist of up to fifty members, including the Editor‐in‐Chief (and any Section Editors), along with Associate Editors as needed. The Committee may, if necessary, appoint Editorial Advisors or Editorial Consultants. There is no limit on the number of overseas Editorial Committee members.
The Editor‐in‐Chief, having established qualification criteria, shall appoint and organize the Committee members.
Editorial Advisors and Editorial Consultants shall be senior members who have made significant contributions to the development of the Association or distinguished individuals from academia or industry, appointed upon recommendation by the Editor‐in‐Chief.
Article 5 (Selection of Members)
Eligibility to serve as Editor‐in‐Chief requires having published three or more papers in a Korea Research Foundation–indexed (or candidate) journal or SCI-level journal within the past two years. To ensure diversity by field or region, there may be multiple Section Editors, as needed.
The Editor‐in‐Chief shall receive authority to form the Editorial Committee from the Director of the Association. The Committee must comprise at least five members, including the Editor‐in‐Chief.
Editorial Committee members must be members of the Association who hold a rank equivalent to or higher than assistant professor at a four-year university (or have equivalent qualifications) and have published two or more papers in a Korea Research Foundation–indexed (or candidate) journal or SCI-level journal within the past two years. Appointments shall also consider regional representation, research achievements, and service to the Association. Detailed procedures are stipulated in separate Review and Operation Regulations.
Article 6 (Duties)
As a rule, the Editorial Committee shall meet at the end of the month preceding each issue’s publication. The Committee sets policies for manuscript submission, peer review, and editing. Each year, the Committee also votes to select the Best Paper among those published in the Association’s journals.
The Editor‐in‐Chief is responsible for convening and presiding over editorial meetings, overseeing peer review, mediating disputes, editing, and publication activities.
The review of manuscripts submitted to any journal shall be conducted in accordance with that journal’s specific editing regulations and operating rules.
Article 7 (Term of Office)
The term of office for the Editor‐in‐Chief (including any Section Editors), Editorial Secretary, and Editorial Committee members shall be ten years. Except in cases of resignation or serious violation of the Association’s internal regulations, members shall be automatically reappointed.
Article 8 (Editorial Policies and Submission Guidelines)
Separate submission guidelines and editing regulations for the Association’s journals shall be established by this Committee.
Article 9 (Journal Publication)
The publication schedule and procedures for the journals shall be determined by separate Publication Regulations.
