Article 1 (Purpose of Journal Publication)

  1. The International Convergence Management Association regards research activity and the publication of an academic journal in the fields of economics, management, and regional studies as its foremost endeavors. In particular, the publication of a journal should provide members with broad opportunities for participation and contribute to the accumulation of scholarly knowledge encompassing economics, management, and regional studies.

  2. In order to enhance the scholarly contribution of a convergence discipline that covers economics, management, and regional studies through journal publication, the following research outcomes must be adequately reflected in the journal:

    1. Identify new problems in both theory and practice within the broad fields of economics, management, and regional studies, and propose possible solutions.

    2. Explore novel and original research methodologies to systematically analyze existing problems and present remedies.

    3. Compare and analyze arguments concerning convergence theory and practice that encompass economics, management, and interdisciplinary areas, and present new points of discussion. To efficiently achieve these objectives of journal publication, individual papers shall be reviewed and published in accordance with the publication schedule outlined in Article 10 of the Editorial Committee Regulations.

  3. The basis for journal publication derives from Article 4, Paragraph 3 of the Association’s Bylaws, which stipulates “Publication of journals, bulletins, and professional books.”

Article 2 (Scope of Publication)

The scope of publication includes all compilations issued by the Association, namely:

  1. Academic journal (peer‐reviewed journal);

  2. Conference proceedings;

  3. Other related publications (e.g., newsletters, special booklets).

Article 3 (Publication Standards)

  1. The standards for journal publication shall follow Article 10 of the Editorial Committee Regulations. Specifically,

    • The Journals of Economics, Marketing & Management (JEMM) shall be issued six times per year—on February 30, April 30, June 30, August 30, October 30, and December 30.

  2. Conference proceedings shall be published in principle whenever an academic conference is held. Conferences are regularly convened twice per year, with additional meetings held as needed.

  3. Other publications refer to any printed materials issued by the Association aside from the academic journal or conference proceedings. These shall be published as needed and at the discretion of the Association.

Article 4 (Principles of Publication)

  1. Articles deemed suitable for publication shall be arranged in the order of their final acceptance date, with the earliest‐accepted paper appearing first in the next available issue.

  2. Notwithstanding the above, if the Editorial Committee deems it necessary, one outstanding paper or one paper addressing a pressing issue among those already accepted may be selected as the first article of the issue; the remaining articles shall follow in order of acceptance date.

  3. To ensure prompt publication and to improve overall quality, the Editor‐in‐Chief of each journal may set a minimum and maximum number of articles per issue in accordance with the character of that particular issue.

Article 5 (Special Issues)

Although general publication principles are determined according to the nature of each journal or issue, special issues may be published at any time at the discretion of the Editor‐in‐Chief of the relevant journal.

Article 6 (Other Matters)

Any matters not specified in these regulations shall be handled in accordance with customary international publication standards.
