Abstract

사용후핵연료를 지하 심부에 처분하였을 경우 예상되는 원자가가 4가인 우라늄(U(IV)) 이온을 제조하여 6가 우라늄(U(VI)) 이온과 분리하였다. U(IV) 이온을 제조하기 위하여 우라닐 용액에 몇 가지 환원제를 첨가하거나 환원제가 들어있는 혼합산으로 우라늄 산화물을 용해하는 시험을 수행하였다. 제 조한 용액중 우라늄의 원자가는 Dowex AG 50W-X8 양이온교환수지에 의한 두 이온의 분리 및 레이저 유도 형광 분광광도계로 용액을 측정하여 확인하였다. 그러나 Lichroprep Si60 교환수지를 사용하였을 경 우 Pu(IV)와 Pu(VI)의 분리조건으로 U(IV)와 U(VI)가 분리되지 않았다.
