The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychosocial characteristics of Oiettolie. Oiettolie had two substypes; Oiettolie and Wangttaoiettolie. Oiettolie means withdrawn adolescents without peers. Wangttaoiettolie means withdrawn adolescents rejected by peer or peer group. More specifically, this study investigated the effects of adolescent's social skills, aggressiveness, interaction anxiousness, psychological symptom, stress and parental bonding style on Oiettolie and Wangttaoiettolie trait. The Social Skills Rating Scale, Aggressiveness Scale, Interaction Anxiousness Scale, SCL-90-R, Parental Bonding Instrument, Stress Scale were administered to one hundred sixty six adolescent clients of professional youth counseling centers. These data were analyzed with multiple regression and analysis of variance. There were three major findings: 1. Wangttaoiettolie group and Oiettolie group showed lower empathy and assertiveness level than nonOiettolie group. There was significant difference of parent's care level among three groups. 2. Wangttaoiettolie group and Oiettolie group experienced more psychological distess to social relations and were more depressive and paranoid than nonOiettolie group. 3. Adolescents' self assertiveness and interaction anxiousness level affected the Oiettolie score while adolescent interaction anxiousness, empathy, self assertiveness variables had effect on the Wangttaoiettolie score.
