The purpose of this study was to develop Career-Planning Program for the multipotential college students, and to evaluate effects of the program. The program designed to solve career-indecision problems of multipotentiality, and consisted of 2 sessions of training in identity exploration, 2 sessions of training in value-based decision making, and additional 2 sessions of training in goal-setting for career planning. The Career-Planning(CP) Group met a total 6 times in 2-hour weekley sessions and in addition a booster session was conducted at 3 months post treatment. Both the CP Group and the Waitlist Control(WL) Group were given pre- and posttreatment assessment on career certainty, career decision-making self-efficacy, and vocational identity. The results showed that at the posttreatment assessment the CP Group reported significantly higher degree of career certainty, career decision-making self-efficacy, vocational identity and career exploration activity compared to the WL Group. At the 3 month follow-up assessment, CP Group reported significantly higher degree of career exploration activity compared to WL Control Group. The discussion focuses on implications for distinctive career-guidance on multipotential students, limitations of the study, and directions for the future research.
