This study aims to analyze trends in overseas research topics on counseling supervision by examining 100 articles published in international academic journals from 2015 to January 2022. For the primary analysis, we used Kwon and Cho’s analysis framework (2020), based on Wampold and Holloway’s model (1997). For the secondary analysis, topics were inductively derived without using the analysis framework. The dual analyses served to enhance the reliability of the analysis framework and to uncover previously unexplored topics. The results were categorized based on the content and distribution of research topics and sub-topics. The primary analysis revealed that ‘supervision process’ (73%) was the most extensively studied topic, accompanied by sub-topics such as ‘contents and methods of supervision’ (39%), ‘evaluation’ (17%), ‘experience’ (10%), and ‘relationship’ (7%). The secondary analysis identified 16 topics, including culture-related research (22%) and supervision effect (18%). Suggestions for the future Korean counseling supervision research are presented and discussed.
