If philosophy is wisdom with which people contemplate on world, it's way must vary. In other words, the world reflected on Korean minds cannot be the same as that of other people or cultures. There is no such thing as Archimedean point, i.e., a fixed point, from which we can lift the entire world. Descartes' mistake was looking for foundation in philosophy. Instead of building up philosophical Babel tower by accumulating philosophical knowledge on a secure base, we should explore many pillars of Parthenon style. Just as the subject matters of Korean philosophy cannot differ from those of other people and cultures, so can't the philosophical methods. Thus it would be futile to look for a uniqueness for Korean philosophy, not to mention its method.
