Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies (JBAS)
A Diamond Open Access International Journal in English

JBAS is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study of biblical texts and ancient literature. It is published biannually and offers free, unrestricted access to all readers and contributors under the diamond open access model.

History of the Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies (JBAS)

April 5, 2025: The executive committee of the Johannine Literature Studies of Korea (JLSK) unanimously resolved to launch JBAS as a biannual publication and appointed Prof. Dr. Moon-Geoung Kim of the Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary as the founding editor-in-chief.

June 30, 2025: Volume 1, Issue 1 of JBAS was officially published.

December 31, 2025: Volume 1, Issue 2 of JBAS was officially published.

June 30, 2026: Volume 2, Issue 1 of JBAS is scheduled for publication.

History of the Johannine Literature Studies of Korea (JLSK)
- November 17, 2025: 4th President, Professor Young-jin Park, ThD (Anyang University)
- March 18, 2025: JLSK was registered with the National Research Foundation of Korea under the institution number 8B4998.
- March 16, 2025: Amendment of the Articles of Incorporation Constitution amendment 
- February 15, 2025: 3rd President, Professor Wooil Moon, PhD (Jeongam Academy); Vice President, Professor Young-jin Park, ThD (Anyang University)
- July 6, 2023: Registration of public interest corporations, voluntary organizations, and articles of incorporation. Unique number 303-82-84190.
- March 26, 2023: Second President, Professor Moon-Geoung Kim, ThD (Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary)
- Established on December 13, 2014, the first president was Professor Sukmin Cho, PhD (Ezra Bible Graduate School).
