Under the CC BY-ND license that The Journal of Northeast Asian History applies, users are permitted to freely reuse the journal’s articles. Specifically, users are allowed to copy and distribute the material in any medium or format in unadapted form only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use. 

There is no charge paid by the author(s) whose article is accepted for open access publication in The Journal of Northeast Asian History.
