Abstract

A growing body of skeletal evidence from South Korean Neolithic to Bronze Age burials has stimulated more empirical approaches to studies have South Korean prehistoric people and societies. However, existing they posit fundamental limitations in understanding different cultures and people as the “in-dividual” as an essential building block of societies across time and space. To overcome the limitations, a view of prehistoric people as dividual and relational beings is suggested by referring to comparable European cases.
