초록

본 연구는 미국의 주립기록보존제도를 그 설립배경과 조직, 기능과 소장기록물의 내용을 중심으로 살펴본 것이다. 주립기록보존소는 그 설립초기부터 현 단계에 이르기까지 각 주별로 개별적으로 성장 발전하였으며, 각 주의 규모만큼이나 다양한 조직의 형태와 기능, 소장기록물을 보유하고 있다.

Abstract

This article survey the process of establishment, the organizations, the functions, and the collections of state archives in America. They have developed separately each other through the 20th century. They have various types of organizational structures, functions, services, recources, and collections like scale of each state.
