공공도서관 뉴미디어-플랫폼 운영 현황 및 사서인식에 관한 연구
A Study on Public Librarians’ Perception and Current Status of New Media and Platform Operation in Public Libraries

초록
본 연구는 공공도서관 사서들을 대상으로 뉴미디어 플랫폼 활용 현황과 보존에 대한 인식을 조사하여 향후 수집․보존 방안을 모색하였다. 설문 결과, 사서들은 뉴미디어 자료의 보존 가치를 높게 평가하면서도, 예산 부족과 기술적 한계를 주요 어려움으로 꼽았다. 특히, 수집 기준의 명확성, 저작권 문제 해결, 정책적 지원의 필요성을 강조하였다. 또한 실감 콘텐츠와 메타버스 등 신기술 기반 자료에 대한 이해와 활용도 제고를 위한 교육과 지원이 필요함을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 공공도서관은 디지털 자료의 수집․보존 정책을 수립하고, 기술적 인프라와 전문 인력을 확충하여 뉴미디어 기반 서비스를 강화할 필요가 있다.

Abstract
This study surveyed public library librarians on their perceptions and current use of new media platforms to explore future strategies for collection and preservation. The survey results indicated that while librarians highly value the preservation of new media content, they cited budget constraints and technical limitations as major challenges. In particular, they emphasized the need for clear collection criteria, resolution of copyright issues, and policy support. Additionally, the findings highlighted the necessity of education and support to enhance understanding and utilization of new technologies, such as immersive content and the metaverse. Based on these insights, public libraries should establish digital content collection and preservation policies, strengthen technical infrastructure, and increase professional capacity to improve their new media-based services.
