OA Policy

Creative Commons License (CCL)

Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studiesapplies the CC BY license regarding the reuse of research articles, and the terms and conditions of the license are as follows.

Under the CC BY license that Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies applies, users are permitted to freely reuse the journal’s articles. Specifically, users are allowed to reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator.

Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies had applied the CC BY-NC license since 01/05/2025, but it has changed to the CC BY license since 26/07/2025



Copyright Policy
For articles published in Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies, the authors must agree to transfer the copyright to Johannine Literature Studies of Korea (JLSK), but partial rights are transferred back to the authors. As specified in the 'Copyright Transfer Agreement (Hyperlink)', the authors are granted limited rights regarding the articles.

Self-Archiving policy

The author(s) may Post-print version of the article published in from Soon after publication under the CC BY on Author_homepage,Journal_homepage.



Article Processing Charge (APC policy)

There is no charge paid by the author(s) whose article is accepted for open access publication in ○○ Journal..



OA Financial Transparency

Journal’s publication costs are supported by self-funded budget (academic society, institution, publisher) .

APC of Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies has been calculated based on Labor costs(46.73%), Peer review costs(29.91%), Thesis hosting and distribution costs(23.36%).

Journal archiving and dissemination websites

Articles of Journal of Biblical and Ancient Studies are perpetually preserved and available on Journal Repository, AccessON, ScienceON, KCI and Johannine Literature Studies of Korea (JLSK).
