신학대학도서관의 장서개발정책 수립에 관한 연구

초록

본 연구의 목적은 국내 신학대학교도서관의 장서개발정책 수립 요인과 장서개발정책 모형을 제시하기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 장서개발정책 사례로 국외 신학대학교도서관의 장서개발정책 구성요소 및 세부사항을 분석하였고, 국내 신학대학교도서관의 장서개발정책 현황을 파악하기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과를 바탕으로 국내 신학대학교도서관에서 장서개발정책 수립을 위해 고려해야 할 외적 환경요인과 내적 요인을 밝히고 이를 기초로 서문, 장서의 선정, 장서의 수집, 예산, 장서의 유지 및 관리, 상호협력과 지적자유, 장서개발정책 개정의 7개 영역으로 구분하여 국내 신학대학교도서관의 장서개발정책 모형을 제안하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose established factors and a model of collection development policies for the libraries of theological universities in Korea. To achieve purpose of the study, we analyzed of elements and details of collection development policies at libraries of theological universities in overseas. The study then conducted a survey to understand the current status of collection development policies at libraries of theological universities in Korea. Based on the above results, reflecting both the external and the internal factors, the investigator presented a model of collection development policies by identifying seven elements that should be included when developing the policy: prefaces, collection selection, collection gathering, budget, collection maintenance, mutual cooperation and intellectual freedom, and revision of collection development policies.
