본 연구에서는 심리상담 분야 전문가들의 경력 경로(career path) 분석을 위하여 한국상담심리학회 상담심리사 2급 자격증을 취득한 후 10년이 지난 161명을 대상으로 자격증을 취득한 연도부터 매해의 근무 기관, 직위, 근무 형태에 대해 살펴보았다. 수집된 자료는 근무 기관, 직위, 근무 형태에 대한 범주화된 자료로 배열분석(sequence analysis)을 통해 각각의 범주에 머문 기간, 머문 횟수 및 전환 횟수 등을 산출하였고 각각의 상태분포와 최다 빈도를 plot으로 시각화하였다. 그 결과, 먼저 근무 기관과 관련하여 참여자들은 전문민간상담실(3.03년)과 대학교(2.7년)에서 가장 오래 근무하였고, 대학교(.63회)와 전문민간상담실(.60회)에서 가장 높은 빈도수로 근무했다. 둘째, 근무 형태는 프리랜서(4.30년)와 정규직(3.02년)으로 근무한 기간이 가장 길었고, 근무 횟수는 프리랜서(0.88회)와 유기계약직(0.68회)이 많았다. 또한 평균적으로 근무 기관, 직위, 근무 형태는 각각 2번씩 변경되었고, 근무 기관은 부부․가족 상담기관에서 전문민간기관으로 전환한 경우가 가장 많았고(12.0%), 직위는 수련생급에서 프리랜서로(27.0%), 자원봉사자급에서 프리랜서로(27.0%) 전환한 경우가 가장 많았으며, 근무 형태는 비임금직에서 프리랜서로(28.0%) 전환한 경우가 가장 많았다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.
This study analyzes the career paths of 161 certificated counselors from the Korean Counseling Psychological Association. We reviewed their employment institutions, positions, and types annually since certification. Sequence analysis revealed that participants spent the longest time at private counseling centers (3.03 years) and universities (2.7 years), with the highest frequency of employment at universities (0.63 times) and private centers (0.60 times). Regarding employment type, they spent the most time as freelancers (4.30 years) and in regular employment (3.02 years), with the highest frequency as freelancers (0.88 times) and in fixed-term contracts (0.68 times). On average, participants changed their employment institutions, positions, and types twice. Common transitions included moving from couples and family counseling agencies to private agencies (12.0%), from trainee to freelance positions (27.0%), and from volunteer to freelance positions (27.0%). The most frequent employment type transition was from unpaid positions to freelance work (28.0%).
