본 연구는 대학생의 내현적 자기애와 대인관계문제에서 정서표현양가성과 경험회피의 순차매개효과를 구조방정식을 통하여 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 전국에 있는 남녀 대학생 339명을 대상으로 내현적 자기애 척도(CNS), 한국판 정서표현양가성 척도(AEQ-K), 단축형으로 개발된 한국판 다차원적 경험회피 척도 단축형(K-MEAQ-24), 한국형 대인관계문제검사(KIIP-SC)를 사용하여 설문을 실행하였으며, 분석에는 총 334명의 자료가 사용되었다. 데이터 분석을 위해서 SPSS 25.0와 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하였으며, 본 연구에서 대학생의 내현적 자기애와 대인관계문제 사이에서 정서표현양가성과 경험회피의 순차매개효과를 분석해본 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각 변인들의 관계를 확인하기 위해 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 내현적 자기애는 정서표현양가성, 경험회피, 대인관계문제와 모두 유의한 정적상관을 보였다. 둘째, 정서표현양가성은 내현적 자기애와 대인관계문제 사이에서 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 경험회피는 내현적 자기애와 대인관계문제에서 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 내현적 자기애와 대인관계문제 사이에서 정서표현양가성과 경험회피가 순차적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 본 연구에서는 대인관계문제를 겪고 있는 내현적 자기애 성향의 내담자가 상담장면에 방문하였을 때 적절한 개입방안을 구축하기 위한 시사점 및 제언을 제공하였다.
This study investigated the dual mediation of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and experiential avoidance in the relationship between covert narcissism and interpersonal problems among South Korean college students. A total of 339 male and female college students from universities across South Korea were surveyed using the Korean version of the Covert Narcissism Scale (CNS), the Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness Questionnaire (AEQ-K), and the Multidimensional Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire-24 (K-MEAQ-24) and the Short form of the Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex scales (KIIP-SC). Ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and experiential avoidance were found to partially mediate the relationship between covert narcissism and interpersonal problems, with sequential mediation effects observed. This suggests that interventions targeting experiential avoidance, through addressing ambivalence over emotional expressiveness, may be beneficial for individuals with covert narcissistic tendencies experiencing interpersonal difficulties.
