본 연구는 워킹맘의 사회부과 완벽주의가 심리적 소진에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 두 변인 간의 관계에서 다중역할 갈등과 인지적 유연성의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 전국의 워킹맘 400명을 대상으로 사회부과 완벽주의 척도, 심리적 소진 척도, 다중역할 갈등 척도, 인지적 유연성 척도를 활용하여 자기보고식 설문을 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS Statistics와 SPSS Process Macro 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 네 변인 간 유의한 상관이 확인되었으며, 워킹맘의 사회부과 완벽주의와 심리적 소진 간의 관계에서 다중역할 갈등과 인지적 유연성은 사회부과 완벽주의와 심리적 소진의 관계를 매개하였으며, 순차적 매개효과도 유의하였다. 이러한 결과는 사회부과 완벽주의 성향의 워킹맘이 심리적 소진에 이르는 과정을 구체화함으로써 이들을 위한 상담심리학적 개입의 이론적 근거를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한 다중역할 갈등을 완화하고 인지적 유연성이 발휘될 수 있도록 돕는 상담적 접근이 워킹맘의 심리적 소진을 예방하는 효과적 방안이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.
This study aimed to examine the effect of socially prescribed perfectionism on psychological burnout among working mothers, specifically verifying the sequential mediating roles of multiple role conflict and cognitive flexibility. A total of 400 working mothers nationwide in South Korea completed self-report surveys measuring socially prescribed perfectionism, psychological burnout, multiple role conflict, and cognitive flexibility. Data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics and the SPSS PROCESS Macro. All variables showed statistically significant correlations. Multiple role conflict and cognitive flexibility mediated the relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and psychological burnout, demonstrating a significant sequential mediating effect. These findings clarify the psychological process through which socially prescribed perfectionism contributes to psychological burnout among working mothers, providing a theoretical foundation for counseling interventions. Therapeutic approaches that alleviate multiple role conflict and enhance cognitive flexibility may help prevent burnout in this population.
