Abstract

Nangok’s academic study of history is a summary of the ‘morality and justice’, ‘true and false’ and ‘Morals and composition’. The principle is humans should fulfill a commendable virtue, ‘believable remark’ and ‘diligent behavior’, ‘identical mind(同然之心)’. The principle is not special but it is ordinary. And That is not obscure but it is clear. Therefore who hear to the principle and he will follow. Identical mind is a Nature and is a Principle. And so ‘Mind is a Nature(心卽性)’, ‘Mind is a Principle(心卽理)’. On the basis of that, Nangok does not clasify mind as the principle mind(道心) and desire mind(人心). According to Nangok, mind is only ‘One Mind(一心)’. Justice is the laws of Nature(天理) and people to keep honorable Reason(民彝). Principle is Morality and Mind, so Justice is Principle and Morality and Mind. Therefore in Nangok, Morality and Justice are same meaning. Truth is defined as sincerity(誠) by Nangok. All creation begins from Sincerity and d end in Sincerity. It means Sincerity is the origin of everything. Therefore Sincerity is metaphysical substance. Truth is sincerity, and so is the origin of everything, and the teaching of the sages, people’s feelings. Truth is real Nature and is Feeling too. Mind, body and all things becomes one. ‘The Fake(假)’ has two meanings. One means a borrow, and the other one means a false. When you use the sense of ‘false’, ‘The Fake’ means shifted from morality and justice. If morality is established, a word from the mouth become to beautiful sentence, and sound become to rhythm. Nangok regarded to Morality very highly. Nangok is thorough moral idealist. For Nangok, all that deviating from the morality and justice are pretended and unmeaningful.
