본 연구는 상담전공 학부생들이 집단 수퍼비전을 어떻게 경험하는지 알아보고, 그 경험의 의미와 본질은 무엇인지 심층적으로 이해하기 위하여 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 체험을 있는 그대로 이해하는데 효과적인 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 집단 수퍼비전 참여 경험이 있는 상담전공 학부 졸업생 총 10명과 심층 면접을 실시하고 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 5개의 구성요소와 13개의 하위구성요소, 37개의 의미단위가 도출되었다. 구성요소는 ‘집단 수퍼비전에 대한 기대와 바람’, ‘집단 수퍼비전에서의 정서 경험’, ‘상담자로서 현실을 알아차림’, ‘이론이 실제에 연결되는 경험’, ‘상담자로서 도약의 발판’으로 나타났다. 상담전공 학부생들은 집단 수퍼비전을 통하여 이론과 실제가 연결되는 경험을 하고, 집단 수퍼비전 경험을 도약의 발판으로 삼아 전문성을 갖춘 상담자로의 성장을 위한 변화를 도모하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 집단 수퍼비전 경험에 대한 이해를 확장하고 상담자 교육과 수퍼비전의 실제를 위한 기초 자료 제공에 대한 시사점 및 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
This study aimed to explore how undergraduate counseling majors experience group supervision and to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and essence of these experiences. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 graduates from a counseling department, and the data were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological research method. The study identified five components, 13 sub-components, and 37 semantic units. The five components derived were: expectations and hopes for group supervision; emotional experiences in group supervision; awareness of reality as a counselor; experiences connecting theory to practice; and using group supervision as a springboard for growth as a counselor. Undergraduate counseling majors experienced the integration of theory and practice through group supervision, and utilized this experience as a foundation for professional growth. The implications of these findings are discussed.
