The central purpose of this paper is to show that the humanities, culture, and arts can survive more easily through the development of cultural industries due to the information revolution. The major results of this study may be summarized as follows: 1) Before the advent of the information revolution, the humanities, culture, and arts had been satisfied with the suppression of human desires and the enhancement of estheticism. Their content had been enjoyed as final consumption goods for leisure 2) This paper has shown that the humanities, culture, and arts will play a major role in the creation of economic values in cultural development through the development of digital technology and the expansion of the internet network. The digitization of the works of the humanities, cultures, and arts can be conveyed and processed through the internet, and will be used as very cheap capital goods for cultural industries. 3) Because the creativity of the humanities, culture, and arts is the main source of competitiveness of the cultural industries, the activation of the cultural industries will likewise help to develop the humanities, culture, and arts. This paper has shown that these fields which emphasize diversity and specificity can be further developed through the creators' autonomy, the possibilities of the cultural niche market, and so on.
