Abstract
HojungBupjong(虛靜法宗) is Ch'onghoHyujung(淸虛休靜)'s grandson six generations before and a representative poetic-monk(詩僧) in the middle of the Chosŏn dynasty. He has a profound knowledge of the literary. So Many person set a high value on a his abilities that there is a high degree of truth in what he composes. This paper is based on the valuation that he tried a multifarious attempt in the poetic-style. Particularly, It requires consideration from two angles. To start with, It look to the present state of the Japchesi(雜體詩) in Hojungjip(虛靜集). As compared with the distinction among the other monks, this paper makes an inspection of the Bupjong's Japchesi(法宗 雜體詩) in a Korean bulga-Japchesi(佛家-雜體詩). Bupjong's Japchesi(法宗 雜體詩) is 13 species and 24 pieces that seem to be extremely many pieces in a Korean bulga-Japchesi(佛家-雜體詩) and to be of good quality. In the second place, What is a message that Bupjong tells us with the Japchesi(雜體詩)? He tries a multifarious attempt in the poetic-style and is expressive of a his mind. In view of the results so far achieved, he incorporate the life as a seeker after truth and his idea in the Japchesi(雜體詩).
