Abstract

In general what we mention “Style” of the literary work has been thought in the subordinate field of Linguistics. Even the style of literature has been also inquired by method of linguistical stylistics. However it gets perceived that literary style could have not be elucidated with linguistical analysis by many students. We think it is necessary for the conception and the sphere of literary style to be refined. It is required that the style of literature get an appropriate phase. The consideration of a few historical views in this paper is on the preliminary stage before the actual “style-study”. We work out fundamental for the term, the style 'of literature' on the basis of the fruit of various study on the subject such as “Literature (it self)”, “Modern Literature” or “National Literature”. And we make an inspection of the usage of 'style', 'singularity', 'text', 'context', 'enounce', 'enunciation', etc. and the idea of them, too. We don't think that "literature" has the natural and immutable nature and the supreme power (more than any other writings(écritures)). “Style-study” is not the same to so called 'New Criticism' in 1960-70's which will have been criticized for the narrowness. (On account of the 'New-Critics' focused their interest on the text itself in disregard of social and historical context.) This paper is not a serious dissertation but a preparatory essay. Although it will be helpful to see the History of Korean Literature from a new point of view.
