Abstract

This research is an attempt of bibliographic analysis based on real data about Hyogyŏng kano, Hyogyŏng ŏnhae, and Hyogyŏng taŭi that were published in various forms in Joseon dynasty. In order understand the publishment flow of books and edition system, researches were conducted on the real data that were either consistent with the publishment situation as reflected in the account, or that could identify the circumstances by imprint. Through this, we prepared the data that can enable the discussion on the period of books and system related to Hyogyŏng, by understanding the current status of domestic editions that could support the accounts and by introducing typical editions. Especially with several bibliographic contents, the inspections on such things as the domestic publication of Hyogyŏng kano, the Hyogyŏng ŏnhae that is possessed in Japan, inspection on printed books, Hyogyŏng taŭi in which Korean transcription of Chinese classics possessed in ‘Jangseogak’ and ‘Kyujangkak’ is with, Hyogyŏng taŭi of the Choon Bang edition, and Hyogyŏng taŭi that is left as book, is meaningful as the preliminary data for the research of this field. Hyogyŏng that was usually distributed in Chosun dynasty, is the Hyogyŏng kano of ‘Joo Hee’ and the Hyogyŏng taŭi of ‘Dong Jung’ based on this. Compared to the researches on conventional Hyogyŏng taŭi that has footnote, there have been lack of bibliographic researches on publication of Hyogyŏng kano or Joseon biography until the present. It was possible to confirm that there were various kinds of formats even though the formats were thoroughly selected based on the data that could identify the imprint.
