Abstract

The poor noble men increased because of limit of entering the main political area and the diminishment of properties by the differential inheritance according to the son and daughter , and their income and the heavy tax. The noble women received help from their parents home or have dept others to cope with the poverty as the defendant and temporary solution, They did the economic activities to make a living as the positive and the long term solution. Most of the noble women did the economic activities like the weave, silk farming, cultivating, loan-sharking to overcome the poverty basically. The poverty experience of the noble women was described with the moral standard like the filial duty, regard, care, donation. The nonmaterial elements like the power relation and the moral standard in the family caused influence the unequal of the poverty experience of the noble women . Women’s economic contribute in domestic get recognition privately and their position must be high. The socio-economic change in the late Chosun escalated in modern times and brought different women’s poverty by causing the family in crisis like the family disorganization and the dissolution of social class.
