Focusing on first editor-in-chief Goh Jung-hee, this study examines the “feminist literature network” and the discourse of “ women’s liberation democracy” as a transition toward a feminist cultural movement. The Women’s News functioned as a hub for solidarity. feminist literature network persisted despite organizational shifts. Those popular practices were multi-layered projects of “ women’s liberation democracy, ” which signified democracy as the realization of women’s culture and deepened the democratic horizons of Goh’s poetry. Furthermore, the weekly newspaper format served as a medium to bridge commercialism and activism. Within this structure, feminist literature embodied popular mediality while imprinting a vision of systemic transformation.
