본 연구에서는 불안전 성인애착(애착불안, 애착회피)이 정신화와 자기노출을 순차적으로 거쳐 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 간접효과의 크기가, 사회적 지지의 종류와 각 지지의 정도에 따라 조절되는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 외상 사건을 경험한 20대 성인 남녀를 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 202명(남 65명, 여 137명)의 자료를 SPSS 29.0과 PROCESS macro를 사용하여 분석하였다. 우선 순차매개효과를 검증한 결과, 불안전 성인애착(애착불안, 애착회피)과 외상 후 성장 간의 관계를 정신화와 자기노출이 순차적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조절된 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 불안전 성인애착의 두 차원 중 애착회피만이 정신화와 자기노출을 순차적으로 매개하여 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 간접효과의 크기가, 정서적 및 정보적 지지의 수준에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인들을 통합적으로 검증한 본 연구결과를 바탕으로, 상담 실제에서의 의의와 시사점, 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
This study aimed to examine whether mentalizing and self-disclosure sequentially mediated the relationship between adult attachment (attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance) and posttraumatic growth (PTG), as well as whether the indirect effect is moderated by the types and levels of perceived social support among young adults. An online survey was conducted with 202 participants in their 20s (65 males, 137 females) who had experienced traumatic events. The collected data were analyzed SPSS 29.0 and PROCESS macro. Results indicated that mentalizing and self-disclosure sequentially mediated the relationship between insecure adult attachment (both attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance) and PTG. In addition, only the indirect effect of attachment avoidance on PTG through mentalizing and self-disclosure was significantly moderated by levels of emotional and informational support. Based on these results, this study discusses implications for counseling practice and offers limitations and suggestions for future research.
